Bvlgari- A Legacy of Pioneering Innovations

Bvlgari is a brand that has been around for more than a century. It was founded by Sotirios Voulgaris in 1884, whose family was involved in silversmith art. and eventually opened his own business in Rome, Italy. Over time, his sons took over the company and introduced new collections which still remain iconic today.

If you're looking for a brand that stands out with its luxury, then Bvlgari is the one. They've earned this reputation by offering high-quality products at affordable prices, making them an ideal choice for anyone looking for top-notch accessories without breaking the bank. The brand has been producing jewelry that was considered to be on par with some of the most expensive items in the world. Their focus is on excellent craftsmanship and producing high-quality products.

It is one of the oldest brands in Italy. One of the things that set Bvlgari apart in its early years from the other brands was that it was the first jewelry brand to specialize in the use of colorful gemstones. As a result, Bvlgari established itself as a virtuoso of colorful gemstones. The company uses inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. It also pays homage to the Italian Renaissance, arguably the most important ‘rebirth’ of European society.

Bvlgari and Rome: The Muse

Sotirio Voulgaris was born in Greece where he learned the family craft of silversmithing. However, he was a visionary who wanted to become an entrepreneur with his art form. He eventually moved to Rome in 1881 and set up the first Bvlgari store there that year. Eventually, Voulgaris changed his surname to Bulgari, the phonetic equivalent of his Greek surname, and named his brand the same. This was his way of connecting with his roots. Later when his sons took over the company, they changed its name to Bvlgari, using the ancient Roman alphabet.

He opened his first flagship store in Rome in 1904 where he sought out a special customer base- American and English tourists who were visiting Rome. Bvlgari quickly rose to fame because of its luxurious and well-crafted jewelry which was inspired by ancient Rome and Greek.

Bvlgari owes its success to Rome because they were heavily inspired by its architecture to use in its new collections. It remains an unequivocal part of their brand identity. This is where they got the idea of using colourful and un-faceted gemstones in their jewelry instead of diamond center stones.

Serpenti
